Finally it's possible to have a large stick with a big grabby hook, a backflick and a big pass while still being fast through the water allowing high handspeed.
The Ghost version of the popular Tomahawk achieves this through the use of composite technology, allowing us to put huge great holes in the stick which allow the water through, dropping resistance drastically.
The Soft Tomahawk Ghost Weighs approx. 150g and is 284mm long.
The core of tough plastic is reinforced with mixed Carbon/Kevlar composite materials to add stiffness, impact resistance and springload passes.
These sticks passed both the official gear-check and every poolside check from many different referees at the recent Worlds in Quebec and Age Group Worlds in Sheffield, and comply with current CMAS regulations.
Textures include "Tyre Tread" design on passing faces to maximize grip and rolling puck contact.
Sold as a pair, 1 black and 1 white.
Notes on the Ghost Tomahawk: Please note that the spokes in the holes aren't structural. They are there purely to stop opposition sticks from being able to fit through the hole. They can eventually get a big hit and crack, but should stay in place and keep doing their job. The reinforcing around the outside is what gives all the strength around the hole (that's why you can occasionally see ghosts of it near the surface on white sticks, it's packed in there.)
The Tomahawk Ghost is extremely performance-first. There is more potential for small bubbles and aesthetic imperfections which we are always trying to improve, but the priority is strength and performance.
Soft material by it's nature will wear with use. Your pool tiles, metal plates and barriers, goal-trays and anything else in the play area are all elements that if sharp can damage soft-coated sticks. Please consider carefully whether your pool is suitable. Hydro Underwater Hockey reserves the right to replace or repair on a case by case basis. Our standard 3 month replacement policy applies for any breakages, however this does not cover wear and tear damage to the rubber coating. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like feedback on your particular situation. We want our customers to get full value from all of our products and are happy to offer advice and support.
